Alex and Austin: Maternity

These two! Austin is my brother and Alex, my sister-in-law is a beautifully talented artist and understands what it truly means to be an artist. Being an artist doesn’t happen by default when you pick up a camera and click the shutter button. At times, I find myself searching for inspiration, something different, new and exciting that I can do that will push me and help me grow. Alex was the perfect candidate to try something new with! And I knew she would be on my team when it comes to being willing, even while pregnant, to try new things!

Of course, they still wanted some of the normal, natural light, husband+wife maternity photos, so we split the session into two! One day we did more studio style and even a milk bath (YES! A MILK BATH!) and the other day we drove around Indian Trail and found some beautiful spots as the sun set! I have to say, the milk bath maternity photos truly inspired me! I love creating new things, and Alex was beside herself when she saw it all come together!
