Breanna & Harrison: Rainy Wedding Day at Whitehead Manor
Where do we even begin with these two amazing people?! We met Breanna and Harrison at the Charlotte Convention Center Bridal Showcase in January 2015. It was towards the end of the show, so the crowd was thinning and we had a chance to talk to them a little longer than the average couple. We instantly connected on many levels! Harrison is a cinematographer for Duke Energy, so of course, the men talked technology while Breanna and I talked wedding details. They threw their name into the pot for a free engagement session and although we didn’t pick their name first, we picked their name second after the first pick passed on the session. It was fate! I texted her immediately, excited about what the future would hold for these two.Their wedding day came fast! Many imagine a beautiful fall October with lots of color, but these two took a hit with the rain and smiled graciously through it the entire time! I can’t say we were disappointed. When life throws you lemons, you make amazing wedding images in the rain! And without any hesitation, they embraced the rain! We asked them to do a few things that many bride and grooms might not have wanted to deal with. It was cold. It was wet. But nothing was stopping them from making memories on their big day! From stunning arrays of different pink bridesmaid dresses to a food truck for dinner to dancing in the rain, this wedding takes the cake! Their ceremony took place in downtown Charlotte at St. Peters Catholic Church. We took advantage of a covered area near the Mint Museum for the portraits, and then afterwards headed to Whitehead Manor for the unforgettable reception! See the list of amazing vendors at the bottom of this post. Here are the highlights of the day! Enjoy!
