Lisa & Steve: Uptown Charlotte Engagement Session in Midtown Park

Lisa and Steve are planning their wedding next summer at the Peninsula Club, one of our favorite venues! They actually found us by searching for photographers who had previously shot there. After meeting them, we were floored they chose us to spend their wedding day with them! Meeting these two were so natural. They’re a laid back, fun couple who actually met at a wedding themselves. Funny story: At the start of the engagement session, I called Steve Michael… Lisa chimed in and corrected me and for a split second I thought I might be the worst photographer they could have hired… I couldn’t believe I called him by the wrong name and I was sure that I had it right! Well, Steve’s first name IS in fact Michael! I just didn’t know he goes by a shorter version of his middle name! Well Steve, now that we’re on a first name basis, we’re excited to spend your wedding day stalking you and Lisa!

We decided on Midtown Park for their engagement shoot. It’s always a great spot, gives wonderful views of the city and a variety of other backdrops, free parking, and you can walk along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. We had a beautiful day to work with and had some fun with extra lighting at the end. I learned while we were shooting that they actually got engaged there! So it was a nice way to capture some more memories for them to keep forever. Here are some of our favorites!
